Micro-Enterprise

micro-enterprise

This project enables individuals with disabilities and the elderly to start small businesses.  Through self – employment, participants are given the opportunity to utilize their talents and creativity in creating a small business.  This project offers financial assistance in the form of a small interest – free loan of up to $1,000 per person.

The Micro Enterprise Business Loan Program is a collaborative effort.  Through the Real Choice Systems Change Grant, DHH – Office of Aging and Adult Services and The Arc of Louisiana were given the chance to develop and implement a Mico-Enterprise/Small Business Loan Program.
