A Home of Your Own
The Arc of Louisiana guides individuals who have disabilities into home ownership. This includes helping the individual locate financial fitness classes, get in touch with a realtor, help locate neighborhoods of interest, secure a mortgage loan, and assist in locating home assistance programs. The Arc of Louisiana is piloting this program in Baton Rouge, and will eventually introduce this project to other Arc’s across the state. The Home of Your Own program is a project funded by The Louisiana Developmental Disabilities Council.
